EduConcert: Generation Dream 2013

On behalf of the Richmond Peace Education center, I want to thank all the participants of our cast and crew for a terrific show this year.  We greatly appreciate your willingness to donate your time and talents to our annual tribute to the life and legacy of Dr. King.  The Peace Center would not be able to provide the programming we offer without the generous contributions of volunteers like you.

I thought you'd like to see this note we received from one of our long-time members, Marcia Dickenson who gave us her permission to share it with you:

Hello,

I just wanted to say thank you again for helping make Twin Hickory's International Night a huge success. I know all our parents and students enjoyed seeing the dances. We really appreciate you coordinating all the dancers (and parents) who were here to help us celebrate our diversity and talents!
Thank you again Uma!

Festival of India 2011

Apsaras has been integral part of Festival Of India for long time and I can vouch that Festival Of India dance and program quality has gone to new heights because of Uma Chetty and Apsaras. They have consistently helped to raise the bar for other performers to follow.

I do not have enough words to thank Uma Chetty as well as all the apsaras for their support and hard work for the wonderful perfomances through out FOI.

Thanks.

Chetan Mehta

Festival of India 2011

It is such a great pleasure to know Apsaras in Virginia. This dance academy has soared to greater heights ever since its inception in Richmond , VA.
Having learnt Bharatnatyam type of dance myself, I really appreciate all the dances they put forward for the audiences.  The facial expressions on each student is near perfection. Most of their Mudras and stories are explained pre- dance for general audiences to enjoy but the way the Apsaras dance, it is easy to follow the story even if it wasn't explained.
